Liz’s Birthday Boardgame Bash:  Saturday, April 21st from 1-4 PM.  Come and play board games, bring one of your favourites or play one from Pastor Liz’s collection.  No presents please, your presence is the present.  There will be birthday cake.  For those who prefer to puzzle rather than play games, there will be a puzzle to work on.  Everyone welcome.

Board members, a reminder of the board meeting on Tuesday, April 24th at 7:30 PM at the Church.

Sunday, April 29th following the service the Pastoral Care Team will be serving a turkey dinner for the family Sunday meal.  The team is looking for help with desserts and a few other items.  More information available in the foyer or by speaking to Linda Schmidt.

The service scheduled for Bayfield Manor on Sunday April 15th at 2:30 PM has been cancelled.

 

The Pastoral Care team will be serving a turkey dinner for the Family Sunday meal on last Sunday of the month.  They are looking for donations of desserts as well some other items.  More information can be found on the signup sheet in the Church foyer or by speaking with Linda Schmidt.
 
Submissions to the new monthly Church newsletter are welcomed.  If you have something that you would like to add, please forward it to the church office by Friday April 20th.

Highlights:

 Rob Parker from the National House of Prayer in Ottawa will be at North Grenville Community Church on Wednesday, April 11th at 7 PM.  Rob will share about what God is doing on Parliament Hill.  This will be followed by a time of prayer for our country.

Come celebrate Easter with us.  More information can be found inside the bulletin or at https://new.ngccfm.ca/easter/.  Please note that there will not be a lunch following the service on March 25th. 
 
The format of the bulletin will undergo a refresh and we will print a monthly newsletter.  Submissions to the newsletter are welcomed and must be received at the Church office by the 3rd Friday of the month. Look for the new format next week!

There will be a games night on Saturday March 10th at 6:30 PM at Rosalind Giffen’s,  10 Albert St.  in Kemptville.  Please bring along your favourite board game and some snacks to share

 

Pastor Thomas will be speaking on God’s faithfulness as part of the Fruit of the Spirit sermon series.  He is looking for a testimony or two, if you would like to share, please let Pastor Thomas know by email at pastor@ngccfm.ca.

Highlights:
 
The Watoto Children’s Choir will be with us on Wednesday March 7th at 7 PM.  Be sure to come for this unique worship experience.  The concert is free, but an offering will be taken to support Choir and the work Watoto does in Uganda and South Sudan rescuing widows and orphans.  We are looking for 1-2 volunteers who would be available to assist with the setup on Wednesday afternoon and the tear down following the concert.  If you are available to help please see Susi.

Everyone is welcome to stay for lunch following the service.  As usual desserts are pot luck, so if you are able, please bring some of your favourites to share.

 

Be sure to join us for the Watoto Children’s Choir Concert on Wednesday March 7th at 7 PM at NGCC.  The concert is free.  There will be a free will offering taken to support the Choir and the work that Watoto does to rescue widows and orphans in Uganda and South Sudan.

Highlights:

 

The Watoto Children’s Choir will be performing at our Church on Wednesday March 7th at 7 PM.  Come and enjoy this world renowned Choir that has been touring since 1994. 

 

We are also in need of host homes to billet the Choir.  We are looking for people who would be willing to host a “team” of one adult and 2-3 kids for one night only.  Hosts would need to provide breakfast and a bagged lunch for their “team.”  For more information, please speak to Pastor Thomas or Susi.

Beat the winter blues!  Join us for a Hawaiian Luau party on Saturday February 17th at 6:30 PM.  More info in the bulletin.

We are still in need of host families for the Watoto Children’s Choir on the evening of Wednesday March 7th.  The Choir is divided into teams of 1 adult and 2-3 kids.  Hosts are asked to provide breakfast Thursday morning and a bag lunch as well as transportation back to the Church.  For more information or to sign up to host a team, please contact Susi or Pastor Thomas.
