CREATED FOR WORSHIP - JESUS. LORD. KING. SAVIOR

Who We Are ~ Our Core Values

About Christians

•Christians need to have a private life of study, prayer, and meditation.
•Christians need to meet weekly, for corporate study, prayer, and fellowship.
•Christians mature best in small groups.
•Learning increases skill and strengthens faith.
•The Scriptures call for every Christian to grow in grace and knowledge of Christ.
•We believe in the final authority of the Bible, and its personal application to our lives.
•The purpose of a Christian life is to know, love and serve God.

About our Church Family

•All people matter to God and therefore matter to the church.
•The church strives to be a unified community of believers with all people exercising their unique spiritual gifts.
•We encourage adherents to become involved before they become official members.
•The purpose of the Church is to worship God.
•The Scriptures call for every church to grow, and for every Christian to participate in the growth of the church.
•Our integrity guides all strategies, actions and programs, and ensures the appropriate use of our resources.
•The Church must be culturally relevant while remaining doctrinally pure.

About our Community

•Our church is part of the North Grenville community.
•All people around us need to hear the good news, so they may choose to accept Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.
•We desire to lead by our example, rather than by the power of position.
•Our church is part of the larger Christian community.
•Teamwork recognizes our dependence on God and each other, and builds the Christian community.
•We are God’s representatives to those around us; sometimes we even use words.

Thank you for taking the time to visit our Church website.  If you are new to the area or are not currently attending Church we would love you to come join us on Sunday mornings at 10:30 AM.  Our goal is to help you experience God’s transforming grace. We want you to know that God loves you unconditionally and you have a place to belong.

We are conveniently located between the Kemptville Hospital and South Branch Elementary School with lots of parking at the rear of the building.  Our service typically lasts about 90 minutes and features a blend of traditional hymns and new music.  Our worship team begins the worship experience at about 10:15, feel free to join in worship in or to grab a free coffee or water in the foyer.  The service formally begins at 10:30 AM.  We have a time of prayer during the service, led by the pastor.  If you have a particular need or concern, or simply could use some encouragement, the pastor is available to pray with you or for you.  The teaching time is always rooted in Scripture and seeks to communicate God’s Truth in compelling, relevant ways.  Messages  are available each week for download via the website or through the church app which can be downloaded from the Apple App Store or Google Play.

Children and youth are important to us as a Church family.  We have Nursery and Kids Worship classes available  for ages 0-12 years in the lower auditorium during the main part of the worship service.  The kids stay upstairs for the first 15 minutes of the service and then are directed to their own classes by our volunteer teachers.  Parents of children under the age of 4 are asked to accompany their children downstairs so that they can sign them in to their nursery class.  Parents of older children are welcome to accompany their children if they wish.  We do offer snacks during the classes.  Please let your child’s teacher know if they have food allergies.  Our volunteers love kids, meet regularly for planning and have a police check on file with the Church.

This video from Fellowship Church describes who we are pretty well.

Ministry

Services

Our services are contemporary and are tailored to the interests of our ever changing society. We maintain a positive and friendly environment where all are welcome. All services are open to the public.  Our service starts at 10:30 AM Sunday mornings and typically lasts about 90 minutes.

Worship

Our worship ministry uses a blended approach which includes an array of musical styles from traditional to contemporary songs. We use guitars, drums, piano, occasionally trumpet & flute, and we welcome new instruments. The worship team is comprised of people gifted in music who lead the church family into a Christian worship experience. Their primary focus is leadership as they approach the throne of God in praise. Our worship ministry also includes people who share their musical gifts through special music (singing or playing an instrument) to edify and encourage our church family and guests.

Fellowship

We have monthly Fellowship Sunday Meals (September to November and January to June), on the last Sunday of each month, food is provided, feel free to bring a friend. We offer coffee in the foyer before and after each service.

Prayer

The Prayer Team is a dedicated group of people who serve the church and its pastor through a commitment of regular prayer, interceding on behalf of our congregation and community for their needs. Pastoral prayer partners regularly lift up the personal, spiritual and family needs of our pastor in several ways: on their own at home, in small groups at prayer meetings during the week, and in our prayer room throughout the Sunday morning worship services. They pray for believers to experience true worship and to know, accept and obey the Word of God. They also pray for unity in the church, for souls to be won to Christ, and for joy in the hearts and lives of believers. Send your request to the prayer chain by sending us an e-mail via the contact form below.

    Parking Ministry

We make our parking lot available for those who need temporary parking to access the Kemptville Hospital  because we believe that cost should not be a barrier to accessing health care or visiting a loved one.

    Pastoral Care

The Pastoral Care team is a group of individuals who reach out to those in need within the church and the community. They provide meals and notes of encouragement to recently bereaved families and those recovering from illness or surgery, They also provide lunch to our church family once a month after our Family Sunday services. Financial support is provided anonymously to struggling families through our benevolent fund assistance program, and this team also organizes periodic fund-raising events for the community and for projects that benefit our congregation.

    Care Groups

Everyone in the church family is encouraged to be part of a Care Group, to be cared for and to care for others. The mandate of a Care Group is to work together to grasp the volume of Christ’s love. As a group they have a three part purpose; to grow together (mature), to learn valuable skills for serving God (equip) and to spread the love of Jesus in their community (share) as they are filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Each Care Group has a Leader who is a care giver and coordinator for the group; this is someone with leadership skills, a passion for God and compassion for people. They receive training on leading groups and being effective care givers. Care Groups also have Instructors (people who help teach and guide the group through the study of biblical material) and Hosts (people with the gift of hospitality who offer the use of their home for the weekly gathering). The Prime Directive of this ministry is to ‘Care’.

    Children’s Ministry

    (Kids Worship & Nursery Care)
Our Children’s Ministry is for newborns up to children age 12.
To give our very hard working Kids Worship and Nursery volunteers a break for the summer, the children will remain upstairs in the sanctuary for the service.  Age appropriate snacks and activities will be available for the children to keep them busy during the sermon.  In September our Kids Worship and Nursery classes will resume.  All of our teachers have demonstrated a genuine love for children, meet regularly for planning and have a Police Record Check on file at the church.

    Fill-A-Bag Food Drive

In what has become a North Grenville tradition, we partner with our community the last Sunday of November and the first Sunday of December to fill the shelves of the Salvation Army Food Bank in Kemptville for Christmas.  The food drive would not be possible with out the generous support or our sponsors who provide the grocery bags and instruction flyers as well many community minded individuals and teams who drop off the empty grocery bags and  return one week later to pick up the filled ones.  Check out the report from the 2015 campaign here.

    Kerith Debt Freedom Centre

Being in debt is stressful and hard on marriages, families and individuals.  The Kerith Debt Freedom Centre offers free, confidential debt coaching to anyone in need.  Our coaches are available for appointments on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month.  To book an appointment please call 613-258-4815 x103 or fill out the contact form at www.kdfc.ca.

    Property & Buildings Care Team

Our group of helpers on the Property and Buildings Team maintains the church facilities in very tangible ways, looking after the physical maintenance and upgrades to the property and church. From washing windows and changing light bulbs to carpentry, plumbing and beyond, these folks serve hands-on through their skills, offering practical care to the buildings we use.
